Cancer care can involve many different specialists, decisions and stages of treatment. Hutchinson Regional provides access to specialized services close to home, helping patients move from diagnosis and treatment planning through treatment, recovery and continued support.
This October, we’re recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month by taking a closer look at the care that supports patients after a cancer diagnosis. Hematology & Oncology specialists help guide treatment plans, medication therapies and ongoing care, while Chalmers Cancer Treatment Center provides access to treatments that may be part of a patient’s overall cancer care plan.
Personalized cancer care helps patients move forward with a treatment plan based on their diagnosis and individual needs. The care team works alongside specialists managing medications, therapies and ongoing treatment, helping coordinate each step of care while keeping specialized treatment close to home.
Medical oncologists help guide patients with cancer through treatment and ongoing care. Along the way, they work closely with surgeons, radiation oncologists and other specialists involved in each patient’s care plan. Together, these teams help coordinate treatment and support through all stages of care.
