The Basic Life Support certification is offered through the American Heart Association (AHA). Per AHA guidelines providers are required to renew their certification every two (2) years. Classes are offered twice a month and is limited to 6 participants per class.
To re-certify: participants are required to watch a video (part 1), complete a written quiz and demonstrate proficiency by performing CPR on a mannequin (part 2).
For new or expired certifications the participant is required to complete an online course through the AHA website (part 1) and attend an instructor led class and demonstrate proficiency by performing CPR on a mannequin (part 2).
Education office hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
