Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System requires that payment be made at the time of service for any amount not covered by insurance. Insurance deductibles and co-payments will be considered as deposits and are due at the time of service.
For those without insurance, the total estimated hospital bill, less any initial deposits made, is due upon discharge. If you are unable to make the full payment at discharge, you can ask to see a financial counselor as soon as possible, who can review alternate payments options with you, including a payment plan. Payments can be in cash, check, debit card or credit card.
It is important to understand what medical services are covered by your insurance policy. We encourage patients to confirm with their insurance provider if our services are covered by their policies, and how much of their bill they will be responsible for.
When you receive emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing. Click the button below to view your rights and protection against surprise medical billing.
