Awards and Certifications received by Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System (HRHS)

At Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System (HRHS), we strive to serve our community through integrated healthcare. We’re honored to be recognized for outstanding service and innovation by our industry’s premier healthcare organizations, including The American Heart Association, The Centers for Disease Control, and more, below.

The Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System has received six Gold Seal of Approval accreditations from The Joint Commission. The Gold Seal of Approval is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective care.

  • HRMC: Advanced Primary Stroke Center Certification (since 2016)

The American Heart Association awarded HRMC the Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center Gold award for implementation of quality treatment, care coordination for heart attack patients

HRMC has been recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for our accomplishment in the Get With The Guidelines quality program.

American Heart Association Mission Lifeline Receiving Gold Plus Award

The American Heart Association named Reno County EMS, recipient of the Lifeline EMS Gold Award for implementing quality improvement measures for care and treatment of heart attack patients.

The HRMC Imaging Services Department has been granted a three-year term of accreditation for its newest CT scanner by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

HRMC’s Inpatient Rehab Unit is one of only two in Kansas to be accredited by CARF for their strong commitment to excellence. 

HRMC’s Inpatient Rehab Unit also received a certificate of achievement for being in the top 85th percentile for UDS PEM of all KHRS rehabilitation units nationally.

HRMC is a Verified Trauma Center by review of The American College of Surgeons, recognizing the hospital’s dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients.

Imaging was granted a three year term of accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Extracranial Cerebrovascular and Peripheral Venous Testing.

The HRMC Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program is accredited by The American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

The Midwest Transplant Network honored HRMC with the Excellence in Donation Award for their efforts in promoting tissue donations.

The HRMC laboratory has been accredited by The College of American Pathologists’ Laboratory Accreditation Program (CAP)

HRMC was recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Healthcare- Associated Venous Thromboembolism Prevention Champion.

HRMC was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the DHP for taking part in the Community Health Environment Checklist to improve accessible health care for people with disabilities.

HRMC has received the Gold Level “Breastfeeding Employees Support Award” from the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition.

HRMC has been recognized as a high 5 for Mom and Baby hospital for its work in integrating five maternity care practices supporting successful breastfeeding and early bonding between mother and newborn. 

In April 2022, HRMC received Validation from HIMSS as an EMRAM Stage 7 hospital.

The HRMC laboratory is accredited by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
