2024 was a transformative year for Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, marked by expanded services like comprehensive OBGYN care and the reopening of the Pediatric Unit. From investing in staff through scholarships and new benefits to improving emergency department efficiency, HRMC continues to meet the evolving needs of the community while building a foundation for a healthier future.
Jackie O’Brien’s journey is one of resilience and recovery, made possible by the compassionate care of Reno County Home Health and Hospice and Hutchinson Regional’s outpatient rehab team. Through their support, Jackie progressed from being unable to sit up to regaining mobility and confidence. Her story highlights the power of skilled care and determination.
Hutchinson Regional Medical Center’s Information Systems Team Earns CHIME’s Digital Health Most Wired Level 9 Recognition
Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is proud to announce a significant milestone in its Sleep Program, which has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) for an impressive 15 years. This long-standing accreditation is a testament to the program’s unwavering commitment to excellence in sleep medicine and its dedication to providing high-quality care to the community.
Hutchinson Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is proud to announce its designation as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence® (DICOE) by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This prestigious recognition acknowledges HRMC’s commitment to the highest standards in medical imaging and patient care.
The Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation (HRMF) has launched a housing program to encourage healthcare providers to live in the communities they serve. The program offers housing incentives for providers who commit to a three-year stay in Reno County. The program, currently extended to doctors, advanced practice providers, and therapists, aims to enhance local healthcare access and boost the local economy. The first recipient, Dr. Doug Moore, will begin serving the community in August.
Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System (HRHS) and The Greater Wichita YMCA have announced a partnership to build a new 75,000-square-foot YMCA facility in Hutchinson, KS. This state-of-the-art center, to be located on land donated by HRHS, will replace the current Y branch and aims to strengthen community health and well-being. The new YMCA will feature an aquatics center, indoor track, gymnasium, expanded gymnastics center, fitness studios, community room, and a childcare center. Groundbreaking is planned for later this year.
Charge nurse Jessika Board demonstrated exceptional dedication when she intervened with a violent patient in the ED, showcasing her commitment to patient care and safety. Jessika handles unpredictable situations with empathy and understanding, especially with mental health patients. Her resilience is fueled by supportive coworkers and grateful patients.
