Ken Johnson, the president and chief executive officer of Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System has resigned after seven years in the role. Prior to serving as the CEO, Johnson served as the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
Nick Baldetti, chief quality officer, will be acting as the CEO on an interim basis, as a nationwide search for a new leader begins effective immediately.
The Board of Directors has expressed its appreciation for all that Johnson has done to support and lead the organization. They wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is adjusting its masking policy effective February 15, 2023 to no longer require visitors and staff to wear masks when entering the facility. The decision comes as COVID-19 hospitalizations and cases continue to trend downward in Reno County.
Hutchinson Regional Medical Center today announced it will adjust staffing levels and reduce workforce as a direct result of the healthcare landscape being profoundly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, increasing supply costs, lower health insurance reimbursement rates and decreased patient volumes compared to pre-pandemic days.
