Lakeshia Carter

Lakeshia attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she earned a Masters degree in Social Work.  She is one of our Intake Therapists providing intake assessments for clients seeking to start services at Horizons.  “My philosophy and approach to my work, regardless of which field of social work I’m practicing in, is to treat every client as if they are my family members.  This has always helped me to be kind, compassionate, and empathetic.”

Lakeshia provides televideo services in all locations.

Alyssa Davidson -
Supervisor/Community Crisis Stabilization

Alyssa is a graduate of Wichita State University School of Social Work Masters program. As a student, she focused primarily on the effects of trauma. Alyssa has prior experience as a crisis responder which allows her to adapt to a variety of situations. Alyssa has experience working with victims of sexual and domestic violence. She is happy to be a part of the Horizons family since 2014 and enjoys volunteering with local non-profits.

Alyssa supervises our Community Crisis Stabilization services, including our co-responder program and mobile crisis program.

Eva Gadberry - Manager/Long Term Placement

LSCSW

Eva graduated with her Bachelor of Psychology degree from Kansas Wesleyan before completing her Masters in Social Work at Wichita State University. She is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of Kansas. Eva currently works as a therapist in the Same Day Access Department, completing the intake process with new clients, assessing clients for crisis treatment and hospitalization and holds a small caseload for individuals with Medicare. She has experience working in the child welfare system, and with the prison population, as well as crisis stabilization. She is client centered with her approach and uses Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral theories to emphasize client well-being. She enjoys working with all populations, especially older adults and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Alyssa Keeney

LMFT

Alyssa holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. She has worked with individuals, families, and couples. Some of her methods include play therapy and sandtray training, as well as couples communication. Alyssa also utilizes mindfulness and body awareness as needed in the therapy room. Alyssa has worked with anxiety, grief, depression, divorce, parenting issues, premarital issues, spiritual issues, and trauma. Among other things, she has worked with those living with anxiety, grief, depression, divorce, parenting issues, premarital issues, spiritual issues and trauma.

Courteney Kelsey

Courteney attended Friends University where she earned her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Courteney is the clinician with our Mobile Crisis Team, providing services in Reno, Barber, Pratt, Kingman and Harper counties.  “the wonderful part of my job is if you are in crisis, I have the ability to be mobile and come to you.

Tabitha Manche

Tabitha attended Fort Hays State University where she received a Masters of Science in Counseling.  Tabitha is part of our crisis team.

Tabitha provides services to people in all of our locations.

Taylor Moody

LPC

Taylor attended Manhattan Christian College and Fort Hays State University where she received a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Taylor is a Licenses Professional Counselor.

Taylor is an intake clinician and sees people of all ages who are interested in pursuing mental health services.  When new clients come in for an assessment Taylor helps them establish services by developing a treatment plan and identifying resources within Horizons and the community that can offer support.  Taylor enjoys meeting with people from all walks of life and empowering them to take control of their mental health.

Taylor provides in-person services in our Hutchinson location, and services via televideo in our Kingman, Pratt, Anthony and Medicine Lodge locations.

Cammie Rumback

LPC-T

Cammie attended Kansas State University for her undergraduate degree and earned her Masters degree from Wichita State University.  Cammie works in the Same Day Access Department providing intakes to our consumer.  She has over 10 years of experience working with children and adults in the community mental health setting.  “I hope that I am able to contribute to the excellent array of services we offer at Horizons, and I am proud that I am able to be one of the first individuals that our clients see when they arrive.”

Cammie provides services in our Hutchinson location.

Melissa Valentine
Director - Crisis Services

LSCSW, LMAC

Melissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work form Wichita State University and went on to work as an adult case manager here at Horizons. She then completed her Master’s degree at KU in 2016 and is now a Licensed Specialist Clincial Social Worker as well as a Licensed Masters Addictions Counselor Melissa completed her master level practicum in both the jail and Same Day Access here at Horizons. She enjoys working in the correctional setting as well as substance use services. 

Melissa is our Manager for our Crisis Stabilization Services, including Carrefour Crisis Center and Sunrise Crisis House.

Melody Wagler

LSCSW

Melody earned her Masters in Social Work degree from The University of Kansas, and is a Licenses Specialist Clinical Social Worker.  She also has completed Level 1 Internal Family Systems Training.

Melody provides immediate crisis interventions, safety plans, and hospital screenings as well as resourcing with community partners in order to match clients with helpful services.  She also provides Internal Family systems therapy.
