Recovery Isn’t One Size Fits All

What is abuse?  Abuse is a pattern of drinking or using drugs that results in harm to one’s health, relationships, or ability to work.

What is Addiction or Dependency?  Addiction or dependency is when more alcohol or drugs are needed for the same effect and when stopped the body goes through withdrawals.

What is a Dual Diagnosis?  A dual diagnosis with when a mental health problem exists along with abuse or addiction.  Over half of those with abuse or addiction problems are dually diagnoses with an additional diagnosis of depression, anxiety or some other mental health problem.
