At Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, the patient is at the center of everything we do. We strive to provide the highest quality of care while maintaining a safe environment for everyone that enters our hospital.

Below are measures of our performance in three major areas related to patient safety:

Standardized Infection Ratio (SIR)

If the SIR is  = to 1 then the number of actual infections is the same as the number predicted
If the SIR is <1 then the number of actual infections is less than the number predicted
If the SIR is >1 then the number of actual infections is greater than the number predicted.
