Dr. Jonna Jenkins to join Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System as Chief Nursing Officer

Jonna Jenkins, Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.), will join Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System (HRHS) as Chief Nursing Officer effective July 6. In this position, Jonna will coordinate with internal and external team members to continue delivery of high quality and professional services at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Jonna has a Master’s Degree in Science and Nursing and a doctorate in Nursing Practice, both from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a member of several nurse related organizations including the Texas and American Nursing Association, and American Organization for Nursing Leadership.

Currently, Dr. Jenkins serves as Director of Clinical Operations at Ascension Health System in Austin, Texas. Previously she served in several other leadership positions within the same organization.

Ken Johnson, President and CEO of Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System, said Jonna was selected following a national search and brings impressive credentials to the position she is about to assume. “Jonna’s extensive healthcare leadership experience makes her an ideal fit within the executive team at Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System,” Johnson said. “We are excited and pleased she has chosen to move north to Kansas and join the Hutchinson Regional leadership team.”
