Danika is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She graduated from Sterling College with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Christian Ministries. She then received her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. While in school, Danika completed Prepare & Enrich and Gottman Level 1 couples training to assist couples. She has additional training in Sandtray therapy as well. Danika prefers utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy and enjoys incorporating mindfulness into her practice. She is trained to work with individuals and families and enjoys working with adolescents and adults. Danika believes that everyone has the strengths they need to make the change they desire and hopes to walk alongside her clients to help them make that change.
Mark is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who graduated with his Masters degree in Social Work from Newman University in 2011. He also attended Bethel College in Newton, KS where he earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Work. Mark has many years of experience working in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings which began in July 2001. His area of specialty is working with adults 18+ whom have experienced a traumatic event(s), living with PTSD, any anxiety disorder(s), and/or Major Depressive Disorder. Mark utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities to assist in clients achieving their goals including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, and Strengths Based modalities.
Jannah is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. After graduating from CCU, Jannah gained experience in the field of Behavioral Health while working at a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for children and teens struggling with mental health and behavioral concerns. She also has experience working with children and teens as a mental health case manager and enjoyed facilitating psychosocial groups and working with individual clients in school and community settings to meet their goals. Jannah received her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University where she was a member of Delta Kappa, the International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society. During her graduate schooling, Jannah also completed the Certificate in Play Therapy program from Heartland Play Therapy Institute. This program consisted of 150 face to face training hours and she is currently working to obtain her Registered Play Therapy credential by continuing to utilize play therapy with clients and attending specialized supervision.
Jannah enjoys working with clients from a strengths based perspective and believes that every client has strengths that can help them to be successful. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches with clients based on their needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Foused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. With children, Jannah utilizes Play Therapy as she believes that play is the natural way in which children express feelings and emotions and uses play based interventions to assist children in learning self-regulation techniques, coping skills and communication skills.
Leatanya Koppa is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Bachelors in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University and her Masters in Counseling from Northern Arizona University. She is licensed by the states of Kansas and Arizona. Leatanya has worked as a counselor in the states of Kansas and Arizona for over 10 years. Leatanya prefers the use of Brief/Solution Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with children, adolescents and adults. Previous experience includes individual therapy, family therapy, groups, case management and adoptions.
Sara is a graduate from Fort Hays State University in Hays KS, with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Sara is licensed with the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board with the state of Kansas as a Licensed Master Level Psychologist. Sara has been employed at Horizons Mental Health Center since 2004 providing therapeutic service. She has experience working with children, adults, and families.
Kathy is a Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree at Fort Hays State University in 1997 and Master of Social Work degree in 1998 at the University of Kansas. Her practicum experience was completed at the Iroquois Center for Human Development in Greensburg, Kansas where she provided outpatient therapy services. Kathy served on the Board of Directors of the Kansas National Association of Social Workers for two years.
Kathy has been employed at Horizons Mental Health Center as a therapist since 2011. She currently provides services in the Pratt and Kingman offices. She has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment, and Critical Incident Stress Management. Kathy is trained and experienced in working with adults and adolescents in individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as facilitating therapy groups.
Robert received his Bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in education then went on to Kansas State University to earn a Master’s degree in Counseling. He worked in public education for 36 years in Kansas and Texas with a wide array of experiences from coaching multiple sports to teaching in the classroom and counseling students. Robert finished his clinical studies at Kansas State University. Most of his experience has been working with school age children, parents, and staff in the pre-k through high school setting. His interest and desire is to continue providing therapeutic services to diverse populations and ages with mental health concerns. “I enjoy helping people succeed and lead a healthier and more fulfilling life.”
Marque has been with Horizons since 2016. She is a graduate of Metropolitan State University with a Masters degree in Social Work. She also attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Marque is a Licensed Masters Social Worker in the state of Kansas. She worked as a case manager for a community mental health center providing individual and group services to children and adults prior to coming to Horizons. Marque loves to incorporate yoga and mindfulness in her practice.
Nancy is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who graduated from Kansas University with a Masters degree in Social Work. She has had several years experience in different settings working with all ages, all types of people and personalities. Nancy area of specialty are adults. She has had training in all types of therapy including Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Neuro-sequential Model/Trauma Recovery, she has also had training with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, adjustment disorders and addictions.
