As we move further into the holiday season, with the celebration of Thanksgiving and the years and insight, it is the perfect time to pause and reflect. With new beginnings ahead, I want to express my gratitude for this organization by sharing what I’m most thankful for.
I am thankful for the continuous support of the communities we serve throughout Central and Western Kansas. Without our patients, Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System would cease to exist. Furthermore, it is through the patrons of these communities that we are able to live out our mission. It is truly an honor and privilege to provide high-quality care and emotional support to each patient that comes through our doors.
I am thankful for the patients and families we serve and who come to us for care each year. We are privileged to be trusted as their healthcare partner. We are there for our patients in some of their happiest moments, such as the birth of their first child, to their most vulnerable moments as family members say goodbye to their loved ones. We know people have many options for health care and I am grateful for all that continue to choose HRHS as their choice for care. The utilization of local healthcare is paramount to our success, and we thank you for that opportunity.
Most of all, I am profoundly thankful for each member of the HRHS family. Staff, such as our frontline workers, continue to risk their health to keep our hospital safe, clean and protected. I cannot thank everyone enough for all of your hard work, patience, and unwavering commitment to our patients this past year—each and every one of you is a hero in my eyes and we are better because of your effort. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.
As we enter the heart of the holiday season, I ask all of our employees and community to take care of yourselves mentally, physically, and emotionally. As we move forward together, I know there will be bumps along the way—but we have great plans for the year ahead as we work to achieve health equity in Hutchinson and the surrounding areas.
From our family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday.
