She has worked in the medical field her whole life, starting out in Medical Records and part of that was as the Director of Patient Accounts here at HRMC for 15 years. She is twice widowed, 2 daughters, 2 grandsons and 4 great grandchildren. Her goal is to encourage people to support our wonderful facility rather than go out of town.
Her family has utilized HRMC on multiple occasions, including the birth of her children. Her goal is to help Administration better understand the patient and family experience. As a volunteer on the PFAC council feels that her questions have been answered, opinions asked and on several occasions those ideas have been implemented. She encourages others to consider serving on the PFAC council. It is a terrific opportunity to make a difference.
Care about our community as is demonstrated through his numerous volunteer contributions. He is involved with Reins of Hope Board of Directors, Hutchinson Senior Center, 6 years Kansas Certified Long-Term Care Ombudsman at Wesley Towers Thorne Care Unit along with other Hutchinson Civic / church care activities. He is a cancer survivor and well as two major foot and ankle surgeries. He cares about the continued growth and expansion of HRMC.
Has resided in Hutchinson since 1977. Graduated from Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community College (HCC). She retired from HCC after serving 14 years. She also volunteers from Circles of Hope. She and her husband Joel have 4 children and 14 grandchildren.
A retired RN began her career in the OB-GYN at Grace Hospital in 1957 that spanned 40 years. She taught Lamaze classes for 25 years. Has been a patient several times since her retirement. In 2014 her husband was a patient for an extended time and she had concerns about his care. She also volunteers in our ICU waiting room and the Early learning center at her church. As a PFAC member she can bring concerns that I hear to the Committee to see opportunities for improvement.
Retired after 40 years as a teacher and Administrator in Kansas school systems. Involved as active Lions Club member and American Legion. Active member in church activities and member of Farmington Neighborhood Council. Primary Focus of all these groups is to address youth vision needs and scholarships / grants. Interested in Community service resulting in active projects.
Trained as an X-ray technician in the U.S. Army and served as Chief Technician, Radioisotope Clinic, Brooke General Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio Texas. He currently serves as a community columnist for the Hutch News, Active member of the Baha’I Faith for more than fifty years, served on local and national Baha’I assemblies, Member of the NAACP for more than twenty years, Volunteer Chaplain at HRMC, Ambassador for Reno County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Cosmosphere. He is married with three children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Has lived in Barbados for 12 years and China for 4 years.
